WANT TO KNOW HOW THIS ALL STARTED?

We began learning about this lifestyle from watching Expedition Happiness on Netflix. It seems like a lot of conversions began with this documentary! Then, that turned into a ton of hours on Pinterest and YouTube trying to see what the Skoolie lifestyle was all about. It was after about 6-weeks of research that we finally found a bus we wanted to look at in Kentucky. So exciting!

In November of 2020, we made the 4-hour drive to our new home (at that time we were JUST looking - we promise). Jen's face was absolutely priceless once we started to check the bus out; she couldn't stop smiling! At that moment, I knew we found the one and it was coming home with us.

A week later, we went back down to KY and got to drive the bus home. At one point, the gages stopped working so there was no telling how fast it was going or how much fuel was left. It was pretty adventurous and such a new experience.

Besides that, the ride home was great and driving that large of a vehicle became easy. The airbrakes were something to get used to though. It's like having a new car with those touchy breaks, but with ten times more power!

We cannot wait to continue the demo and build, and hopefully by the end of 2021 we will be living the tiny home life.
